I got sick of dishing diets of dirty sugar, rotten apples
sick of people asking favors from me

I set the bar high, but two suits set it higher
instead of swirling lights, misshapen persons in my mirror

singing some Shania song about finally getting my kicks

I got the call from Wall Street -
you know, the real New York freaks
who swear they like a good time
I’ve got my ’76 LeSabre, Pixie in the front seat
“Conjoined twins” was on the list,
we shared a sweater and a line

They fancied themselves the strong men type
so I blew fire and I made one swallow my knife

Well, Pixie kind of freaked, so I grabbed Elliot’s keys
while he was locked in the bathroom, phoning up his secretary
I got a stash under my dash, the best of Cash on an 8-track
one last view of “Ass, Gas or Grass,” and then dust filled the scene…
